Residents at Lighthouse Lodge recently enjoyed a special visit from Wirral Classic Car Club, who brought along a collection of classic cars for everyone to admire.
Residents, relatives, friends and colleagues gathered to explore the different makes and models on display, with plenty of conversation about the vehicles and the memories they brought back. For some residents, seeing the cars sparked recollections of their first car, family journeys and favourite models from years gone by.
Sharing these memories gave residents the opportunity to talk about important moments in their lives, learn about each other's experiences and enjoy conversations with family and friends. Familiar sights can also provide a lovely starting point for reminiscence, helping residents reconnect with past interests and experiences.
The visit was also a chance to spend time with our friends at Marine View Lodge, bringing residents and colleagues from both homes together to enjoy a shared experience.
At Lighthouse Lodge, activities like these offer more than a change to the usual routine. They provide opportunities to socialise, revisit personal interests and enjoy meaningful moments with others, all of which can contribute to residents' wellbeing.
A big thank you to Wirral Classic Car Club for taking the time to visit and share their wonderful cars with us. The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, and we hope to welcome them back again soon.
We’re proud to have a varied activities programme that involves the community and provides something for everyone to enjoy. If you’d like to find out more about life at Lighthouse Lodge, you can book a tour of our home and our team can answer any questions you may have.
