Our spacious bedrooms come complete with an en suite wet room and wireless alert system that allows you to call a member of staff at any time of day or night when additional assistance is required. Each room includes an adjustable profiling bed, flat-screen TV, wireless internet connection and a wireless alert system.

The Lodge has several lounges, furnished for your relaxation and entertainment. Here, we often host entertainers, film afternoons, exercise classes and more. We also have designated areas around the home for you and your guests to enjoy each other’s company in comfort and privacy.

Our in-house hair & beauty salon comes with a resident hairstylist, who is available to you and all other residents. You are more than welcome to invite your own personal hairdresser to visit if you wish. Here we also provide beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures and hand massages.

There are also regular visits to parks, markets and shops in and around the local area, as well as organised excursions to places of interest.

Our residents, their families and friends have access to our manicured garden where they can spend time enjoying the beautiful surroundings or even try their hand at gardening. Some of our ground floor bedrooms open out onto private patios which provide that extra bit of space and privacy.

Lighthouse Lodge’s 2nd and 3rd floor terraces provide spectacular panoramic views looking out onto the River Mersey and Irish Sea. It’s the perfect place to sit back, relax and watch the world go by.

Families and friends are warmly welcomed to the Lodge which is made easier with our own private visitors’ car parking area. We consider visiting an essential way of ensuring that you get to stay in touch with loved ones. There’s always time for a chat over a cup of tea using our residents’ kitchen facilities!

My mum, 93 years of age, has been in Lighthouse Lodge for nearly five months and I am extremely happy with the care you have given her over this time. Since she arrived after a long stay in the hospital, after numerous falls, her health has improved and has even gained a bit of weight. When I visit, she always looks clean and tidy. All the staff in Vale ward are excellent in caring for my mum. I cannot praise them enough, I must also mention all the entertainment girls who do a great job and not forgetting the reception staff who are so welcoming on my visits. I just would like to thank you all.

Lighthouse Lodge is a very homely place with kind staff. They looked after my husband so that I could have a break. From the porters and office staff to all the carers, they all gave him help and warmth so that he enjoyed himself. The activities helped to keep him interested and busy. My 95-year-old mum is in Lighthouse Lodge Care Home. My wife and I are very happy with the care she is receiving. Staff are excellent, caring and professional. The home is very clean, warm and inviting. It is a great relief that my mum is being so well looked after. This is an excellent home and I would recommend without hesitation.

My uncle came to Lighthouse Lodge Care Home for four weeks respite care. During his short stay here he was treated with dignity, care and was able to interact and join in all the activities that are provided.
The staff are so kind and caring and my uncle came out with a knowledge of reassurance to go back if he so wished to.

My mother sadly passed away after fourteen months of outstanding care from a highly professional and compassionate team who treated my mother as an individual and with dignity. They enriched her quality of life in the time she was with them. This unit is streets ahead of its competitors, and as a retired registered nurse I was impressed from day one by their high standards. I would like to thank all the staff for caring for my feisty independent-minded mother who was happy to be a resident in Lighthouse Lodge.

It was my Dad’s birthday, the staff went above and beyond to make it special for him. They held a party for him, gave him a cake, there were gifts, and one of the staff bought him a balloon. It’s these things that make the Lighthouse Lodge a very special place. All the staff take the time to learn about the residents and develop positive bonds with them. I have total confidence in the care provided by the Lighthouse Lodge. I can’t recommend them enough.

After a lot of heartache and research, we as a family decided it would be better and safer for our Dad to go into Lighthouse Lodge as he needed 24-hour care and we couldn’t look after him 24-7. We decided on Lighthouse Lodge as it was new, clean, and has plenty going on for the residents. After being in there for 27 months we now know we made the right decision for him, from reception to management, cleaners to entertainment staff, nothing is too much trouble. Everyone there is on hand to help. Dad is always clean and tidy when we visit and we can pop in at any time, Covid-19 allowing. The staff treat him like family and look after him as good as we would do if he was at home, his room is spotlessly clean and tidy, the food and treats are great and most weeks there’s a party going, no excuse needed. If we can’t visit with Covid-19 restrictions, we know we can phone up at any time to ask how he is and know that if he’s not ok a doctor would be called out to check him over.

Fantastic care home offering a lovely range of facilities and spaces for the residents. Staff are close with the residents and clearly care a lot. My friend has been staying here for over two years and it’s been a fantastic home.
