So you’ve chosen the right home for you, now you’re about to take the biggest step of all, moving in!
We know this may be a stressful and even daunting time for you, but we assure you that you will be in the best of hands to ensure the transition to your new home is smooth and easy.
Upon arrival at your new home, a member of staff will be there to greet you with open arms and, of course, a nice cup of tea or coffee to help settle those first-day nerves.
You and your loved ones will then be escorted to your en suite bedroom to spend some quality time together and start to add those little touches in making the home your own. If you would like to be extra prepared, your items* can be brought to the Lodge before your move-in day to ease the process.
*Please note that all of your electrical items will need to be handed over to our Maintenance Team to carry out PAT testing before returning them to you to ensure the safety of yourself and all those who reside at the Lodge.
We understand the importance of family, so with this in mind, they will be invited to stay for lunch, dinner or both if they so wish.
One of our Senior Carers will spend time with you and your loved ones to go over your details and requirements, ensuring that your personalised care plan is ready to be put into action from day one. This includes discussing your preferences and any requirements you may have regarding food and lifestyle plus anything else we should know to help you keep to your daily routine.
Our Activities & Wellbeing Coordinator will also welcome you to the Lodge, introducing you to your new friends who we hope you will make lasting memories with through all the enriching activities we offer each day!
