After a lot of heartache and research, we as a family decided it would be better and safer for our Dad to go into Lighthouse Lodge as he needed 24-hour care and we couldn’t look after him 24-7. We decided on Lighthouse Lodge as it was new, clean, and has plenty going on for the residents. After being in there for 27 months we now know we made the right decision for him, from reception to management, cleaners to entertainment staff, nothing is too much trouble. Everyone there is on hand to help. Dad is always clean and tidy when we visit and we can pop in at any time, Covid-19 allowing. The staff treat him like family and look after him as good as we would do if he was at home, his room is spotlessly clean and tidy, the food and treats are great and most weeks there’s a party going, no excuse needed. If we can’t visit with Covid-19 restrictions, we know we can phone up at any time to ask how he is and know that if he’s not ok a doctor would be called out to check him over.
